What do I wear during my massage:

During your massage you will be fully covered by a sheet, excluding the area that Harmony is working on. You can undress to your comfort level, leaving your underwear on or off once Harmony is out of the room.

Is my massage going to hurt:

Depending on the style of massage that you choose, there may be times when the massage is painful and uncomfortable. From a 1-10, you do not want the pain level to go above a 7. If the massage is too painful, your muscles will tense up and not release, defeating the purpose of receiving a massage. Be sure to communicate with Harmony during your massage if the pressure needs to be adjusted. After a deep tissue massage, it is common to be sore for a day or two.

How often should I receive a massage:

For the average person who does not have aches and pains or a high level of stress in their life, Harmony recommends one massage per month. If you’re experiencing pain that is acute or chronic, Harmony might recommend one massage per week for a couple of weeks. Massage therapy is considered maintenance and not pampering. Making your health a priority is not a luxury, it is a necessity.

Do I have to get a full body massage:
No. Every massage is custom each and every time. If there are areas you don’t want massaged that is ok. If you would like Harmony to focus on problematic areas, that is ok too. Before your massage Harmony will talk to you for a few minutes so she has a better understanding of what’s going on with your body.

Am I supposed to talk during my massage:
No. To get the most out of your massage Harmony encourages her clients to be silent. Being present for 60 minutes without any distractions will help you relax and unwind. Not everyone feels comfortable being silent and that is ok too.

Are gift certificates available:
Yes. Harmony offers gift certificates in person and over the phone. If you are purchasing a gift certificate over the phone, Harmony will ask for your credit card information and zip code. Once your card is entered in Square, Harmony no longer has access to your credit card information. She can text or email a copy of your receipt. Once the transaction is processed Harmony will mail the gift certificate.
